“Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” — DePaul Catholic seniors and Holy Spirit alumni read across America
Three DePaul seniors and Holy Spirit alumni returned to read to students in PreK–3 through Grade 5.
There are moments in a school year that remind us why Catholic education is such a gift. The return of three DePaul High School seniors and cherished Holy Spirit School alumni was one of those beautiful moments.
Holy Spirit School was filled with joy, pride, and a touch of nostalgia as Jaidyn Watson, Gabriella Rattacasa, and Juliana Rattacasca walked once again through the doors where their own journeys first began.
In celebration of Read Across America Week and Dr. Seuss’s birthday, these remarkable young women visited students in Pre-K3 through Grade 5, bringing with them not only beloved stories, but also living proof of what grows from the seeds planted here years ago.
Standing beside their former principal, Sr. Marie Antonelli, the seniors gathered in the heart of the school beneath the image of Christ welcoming children, flanked by the American and Vatican flags, and near the statue of St. Lucy Filippini. Dressed in their DePaul uniforms, wearing their senior lanyards with pride, they radiated warmth, confidence, and gratitude.
