Alumni returns to where it all began

Margaret Mascitello (HSS ’21) is a current student at Hofstra University, a longtime parishioner of Holy Spirit and an alumna of Holy Spirit School. From January 1st to the 5th, she attended the SEEK conference in Ohio run by FOCUS Missions.

While there, she attended many inspiring talks from speakers such as Fr. Mike Schmitz, Fr. Josh Johnson, and Sr. Mary Grace S.V.

On January 20th, she visited the classrooms of the 5th through 8th grade. She spoke on the Fruits of the Holy Spirit and the Road to Emmaus. While discussing, she used an analogy given by Curtis Martin, founder of FOCUS: “We are all called to be a hot pot, bubbling with the Fruits of the Spirit.” She hopes to continue spreading the Good News now that she is back at college.
