Tuition & aid

The average private elementary school in New Jersey charges $18,235. We charge $7,300.

A complete Catholic education for less than half the area private school average — religion taught every day, small classes, Mass next door, and no surprise line items in June. Every number we charge is printed below, and every additional child costs $5,300 flat.

What a private school year costs around here, and what it costs here.

One child, one year, tuition only. The independent day schools a few towns east open at $30,000. We come in at under a third of the Morris County average — our own county — and under the Passaic County average next door, which Catholic schools like ours already hold down.

Families, not seats

A family of four attends for less than one seat at many Bergen County independents.

The step between children never grows. It is $5,300 for the second child, $5,300 for the third, $5,300 for the fourth — so your fourth child costs 27% less than your first. Large families are not an exception we accommodate. They are who this school was built for.

Pre‑K 3 and Pre‑K 4

Full‑day Pre‑K for about half the cost of North Jersey daycare.

Certified teachers, reading and phonics, Spanish, the computer lab, the gym and the cafeteria — and a three‑year‑old who says grace before lunch. Pre‑K 3 has its own building in the Msgr. McQuaid Center; Pre‑K 4 is in the main school. The classes are never combined.

The monthly column is the annual rate spread over the 12‑month payment schedule. An honest note on the comparison: daycare runs year‑round, and our Pre‑K follows the school year. Before and after care on site covers 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM, and the office will build a schedule around your hours — two, three or five days, half or full, with any half day extendable.

Comparison figures: county and state private elementary averages from Private School Review, 2026 school year — Morris County (44 elementary schools), New Jersey, Bergen County (76) and Passaic County (40). New Jersey centre‑based preschool average and effective monthly cost from DaycareCalc; North Jersey daycare range from Childcarepath. Our own rates are for 2026–2027, are billed over 12 months, and are confirmed in writing at registration.

Aid & assistance

If tuition is the only thing standing in the way, say so. We have been here before.

Catholic education faces real challenges to remain viable, accessible and affordable, and the school and our parishes are committed to meeting them. That commitment is not abstract: it is a payment schedule that fits your month, a parish that subsidises every seat, and a conversation with the principal that nobody else hears about.

The Ron Marra Award

The Marra family, in memory of husband, father and grandfather Ron Marra, chooses winners in three grades who are continuing on in Catholic school. Each award is $250, applied straight to tuition.

The parish behind the number

Tuition does not cover the true cost of a seat. The parish, the Legacy Gala and the golf outing close the gap — which is why the figure on this page looks the way it does.

The Legacy Gala

Ask, in confidence

Call the office and ask for the principal. Bring what you can pay and we will start there — payment schedules, parish rates and assistance, in one conversation that stays private.

What the money is for

A school where the church is at 318 and the classrooms are at 330.

Holy Spirit Parish offers Mass at 8:30 every weekday morning, and our students walk over for the school Mass on Friday and Adoration on Tuesday. A parent can drop a child at 8:00 and be in the pew by 8:30. That is what the tuition on this page buys that no comparison table can price.
