The Holy Spirit School Choir attend the American Federation of Pueri Cantores
Fourteen students sang at the festival in Morristown, closing with a Eucharistic celebration with Bishop Sweeney.
The Holy Spirit School Choir had 14 students attend the American Federation of Pueri Cantores festival event on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in Morristown, NJ at Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The children enjoyed a full day of vocal and choral rehearsals along with several other school and parish youth choirs under the guidance and expertise of guest conductor, Dr. Alfred Calabrese, who came all the way from Dallas, TX to prepare the choir. The day culminated with a beautiful choral prelude and Eucharistic celebration with Bishop Sweeney as celebrant.
Pueri Cantores is the international student choral organization of the Roman Catholic Church. All participating children received a medal in recognition of their hard work and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the organization.
Sr. Marie attended the choral prelude and Mass, along with other parents and members of the parish and school community to support the children. Our school music teacher and choir director, Prin Sielski, is very proud of her students working hard to rehearse over the last couple of months to be ready for this special day.
