Catholic Math League winners
Competing against other Catholic schools in New Jersey, Holy Spirit School placed third — and Dominic Marcalus placed fourth in the state.
This year the eighth grade Algebra students at Holy Spirit School participated in the Catholic Math League, which is a national math competition. The contest consisted of four 30-minute tests taken in November, December, January, and March.
The top three students from HSS were Dominic Marcalus, Robert Monroe, and Evan Terra. Competing against other Catholic schools in New Jersey, Holy Spirit School placed third! In the overall state results, Dominic Marcalus placed fourth out of 67 students.
